Ethical Business Policy

To ensure the highest standards of fair trade are adhered to, we have created our own Ethical Buisness Policy for the groups to work within.    

Annually reviewed, we are committed to fairly trading with all the groups that we use and look forward to working with them in the long term.    

Ensuring that the cooperatives carry out their business in a manner that is environmentally responsible.

Encouraging the cooperatives to create a sustainable life for generations to follow by encouraging
investment in the community.

Helping reduce waste by recycling whenever possible.

Encouraging concern and respect for the environment amongst co-operatives.

Managing its business to ensure, wherever possible, that environmental guidelines are adhered to and indeed exceeded

Continuously researching and exploring new technologies and practices to identify environmental benefits.  Constantly looking for new recycled materials.

Following guidelines set by fair-trade practices (BAFTS COFTA ETI)

Adhering to ethical employment practices; we visit the Kenyan community on a regular basis where our products are made, in order to check that working conditions meet the highest standards and the employees of Juzi are being treated fairly and with respect.

Managing the community so that they conduct themselves in an environmentally responsible manner, and share our values on important issues like child labour, discrimination, working hours, freedom of association and health and safety.

Undertaking regular reviews of our business practices to ensure compliance with our ethical business policy.
